Multiple OS in VPS Web Hosting
We offer you three different Linux releases for the Operating System of our virtual private servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs out there and we offer all three instead of only one because we realize that you may want to set up some software with specific requirements regarding the Operating System it will run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a large support community behind it and there are various software programs you may install on the hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you would like to use one and that's why we offer several Control Panels too. If you ever decide that you need some other OS, our tech support team can quickly wipe the existing one and set up the one that you want. In addition, we offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are freely available so they won't increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are exceptionally secure and stable. Each one of them is backed up by a big community of web developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from a myriad of software packages that you could install on your server in case the application that you would like to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what web hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much versatility as possible, we offer several OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a certain OS, we can change it upon request if it turns out that you will need alternative one. We can also keep your OS updated weekly as a part of the optional Managed Services upgrade.
